Although the quantity of concerts, events, exhibits, and productions staged this year was down slightly again, the quality was definitely up. This week, in the interest of avoiding a 12 page New Year’s newspaper spread, we will look at events around the county from the Artist In Residence cooperative to the West Swanton Methodist Church annual Lawn Supper. Corliss Blakely of St. Albans has donated a Christmas tree with 33 original paintings to the Festival of Trees. The Festival of Trees includes an Opening Gala plus a Christmas parade, Santa’s Workshop, the Sugar Plum Fairies, and hourly entertainment on Saturday and Sunday. Read more…
