      The Big Four Music Weeks of the summer continue with a Summer Sounds concert, plus a Citizens Band concert, Community Night at the Opera House, Franklin County Field Days, and Summer Music at Grace.

      The Summer Sounds concert series continues in Highgate Municipal Park as Desorcie’s Market presents Mango Jam in a triumphant return to Highgate on Sunday evening. The new Highgate Farm Market has fresh fruits and vegetables, some craft items, and even bakery sweets at Summer Sounds. Read more

ON STAGE LIVE

       Village Harmony returns to Summer Music at Grace this evening. Today through Sunday, Vermont’s finest country fair takes to the fields of Highgate with great music, arts and crafts, and of course weeds. The Opera House at Enosburg Falls presents a Community Night at the Opera House. The Citizens Concert Band performs in the Swanton Village Park. Read more

This weekend, the Big Four Music weeks of the summer begin with a Summer Sounds concert, the Art in Bloom Festival, a Christian Music on the Parks concert, the 15th Annual Jig in the Valley, and a concert in Taylor Park.

 The Art in Bloom Festival brings a day of music, a gazillion exhibits, and plenty of food to Swanson’s Farm and Nursery in Fairfax. Read more

IN JIG TIME

 The fifteenth annual Jig in the Valley offers an eclectic day of outdoor music in a good cause. The year marks the return of bluegrass music and will also feature an eclectic mix of jazz, fiddling, do-wop, salsa, and blues. The performers include The Backyard Bluegrass Band, David and Janice Carr, John Cassel, the Nobby Reed Project, and the Fabulous Spiders. Read more

ON STAGE LIVE

 Lake Champlain Cruises presents a sunset dinner cruise with the Nobby Reed Project tonight. The Lord Family appears in the summer Christian Music on the Parks Concert Series. The St. Albans Concert Series presents the Green Mountain Chorus. Village Harmony returns to Summer Music at Grace and still a needs a few hosts for the singers. Read more

The Summer Sounds concert series continues in Highgate as Chevalier Drilling presents Bob Degree and the Bluegrass Storm on Sunday. The band plays original songs built from strong traditional roots. The Storm has a great connection from the past to the future of this family music genre. Read more

ART ON THE WALLS

The Champlain Collection presents The Swanton Connection beginning with an artists reception this evening. The exhibition and sale features Bob Eldridge, Gladys Nokes, and Linda Wirts. Apple Hill Inn hosts a Summer Art Show of new work by Corliss Blakely. The Waterbury Stowe Street Art Show hosts Valerie Ugro. Read more

The United Methodist Church annual Ice Cream social features the Fairfax-Fletcher-Westford Band and some of the best ice cream and cake. Concerts By The Common presents the Nisht Geferlach Klezmer Band. St. Paul’s United Methodist Church presents Tim Zimmerman and the King’s Brass. Read more
